How to Reset Internet Explorer to its Default Settings
This is useful for troubleshooting problems that might have been caused by settings that were changed after installation.
Before doing this. You need to make sure you don’t have any internet Explorer windows already opened.
If you do, this will not work.
The first thing you would want to do is find where your windows key is located on your keyboard.
On most keyboards, it’s located to the bottom left, next to the CTRL key
Hold down the windows and press the letter “R”
A window titled “Run” will come up
You will see a box where you can type something into.
Type “inetcpl.cpl” in the box and press “Enter” on your keyboard
Another window will pop up titled “internet properties”
Near the top far right you will see an “Advanced” tab left click “Advanced”
Near the bottom of the window, you should see a “Reset” button. Left-click on “Reset”
A window titled “reset internet explorer settings” will come up
There will be a checkbox asking if you want to “Delete Personal Settings”
Left-click the checkbox and left-click on “Reset”
Another window will come up showing the progress of your browser resetting itself. When it shows that it has completed all 4 steps press “Enter” on your keyboard or left click “Close”
The last thing you need to do is to restart your computer to apply the changes you have made.
Left-click on the “start” menu and near the right bottom of the list you will see a Shutdown Arrow option
and windows 10 in near the bottom of the list you will see a “power” option
left-click on power and you will see another option titled restart left-click on restart
and window 7 near the right bottom of the list you will see a Shutdown Arrow option and you will see another option restart left-click on restart
